About the Authors
Ron Hobbs, N.D. is the dean of the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Hobbs graduated from Bastyr University and is a consulting member for the Institute for Creative Development in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Hobbs has lectured extensively on the history and philosophy of natural medicine, botanical medicine, and environmental issues. He lives in Trumbull, Connnecticut.
Gloria Bucco has been writing about health and wellness since 1990. A former newspaper reporter and editor, she holds degrees in journalism and education. Bucco is the principal and founder of Healthy Ink, a copywriting business focusing on natural health and alternative medicine. Her articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Let's Live, Delicious, Herbs for Health, Healthy and Natural Journal, Health Products Business, Nutrition Science News, and Natural Foods Merchandiser. She is also a contributing editor to the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association. Bucco lives and works in Colorado.
Anna M. Barton holds a degree in biological sciences. Her background includes work in biomedical research laboratories, freelance writing, and medical transcription.
